Psilocybe cubensis B+
The B+ mycelium grows aggressively on a wide variety of substrates and within a broad temperature range. Very suitable for indoor growing.
When grown on more nutritious substrates such as cased grains, compost and straw, B+ has the potential to produce enormous mushrooms, easily reaching a height of 30 cm or larger. No wonder B+ is one of the most popular strains available.
Substrate: Compost, grain, pasteurized dung and straw
Temperature during colonization: 28 – 30 °C
Temperature during cropping: 22 – 26 °C
Spores are packed in a protective atmosphere and can be kept for a number of years. The spores can be sent to almost any country without a problem.
Psilocybe Cubensis B+ Spore Print, ideal for the mycological study of this genetic line.
These prints are made by delicately stamping a Psilocybe B+ cap on a duty aluminium foil, to deposit all their spores and facilitating their conservation and use.
In this way, it is possible to store B+ genetic samples (like the cannabis seeds stored in seed banks), and use the spores for observation in microscopy or for fructification and subsequent development study at the mycological level.
In order to inoculate the grain substrate, the spores should be hydrated using sterile distilled water, then the spores and water mixture sucked into a sterile syringe where their germination is encouraged and initiated, as the dried spores will not germinate on their own. We can sterilize the bottle with water using a pressure cooker for 45 minutes at 15 PSI.
Psilocybe Cubensis B+ Spore Print, ready to prepare syringes and vials
Once the syringe has been prepared, it can be used after 2 to 3 days at room temperature, time to hydrate and activate the spores, inoculating our sterile substrate or can be stored for up to 6 months in the fridge for future inoculations.
Inoculating the spores in our sterilized grain substrate bag or in a Mycomate vial, we will obtain a good quantity of fresh mycelium ready to prepare our mushroom cakes.
If we store the vials on the fridge, we will have spore syringes ready for future inoculations, saving us work every time we want to grow psychedelic mushrooms at home.
